Taking these portraits was a full-circle moment for me. When Cat, Cece, and Ethan were little, I spent almost every day with them, for about four years, as their nanny. Eventually, I wanted to try my hand at something else (at the time, I became an assistant dog-groomer), and then the family moved out of state.

After years apart, I was beyond excited when Tamara asked if I could come to Utah and take Cat and Cece's senior photos. I stayed at their home for a weekend, and we had fun catching up. I'll never forget talking about books with Cece, photography with Ethan, lacrosse with Cat, and long, heartfelt conversations with Tamara about our past together, and much of what happened in both of our lives since then. Hearing her play the piano again was everything.

Spending time with Tamara and these wonderful kids again, now all grown up, felt like a dream, and that weekend together still means so much to me. As of this post, the girls have finished their first year of college, and Ethan just graduated high school. After all this time, I'm incredibly proud and grateful to know this family.

Here are the twins' senior photos at Jordan Pines, in the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City, Utah. (Each of us periodically fell waist-deep into the snow, and came up laughing!) Tamara wanted family photos, with a focus on Cat and Cece, so that's what we did!
