A little over five years ago, I did a family session for Taylor, her brother Dylan, and their mom, Rachel. Taylor tells me that those photos have brought them a lot of joy, and that her mom has them displayed all around her home. A lot has happened since then, so Taylor and Dylan wanted some updated portraits for Rachel, this time including Taylor's boyfriend, Danny, and Dylan's fiancé, Ashley.

We went to Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge at 10am, hoping to beat the heat on a day of 90+ degrees in August. We explored the field of shoulder-high, crisp, golden grass, ventured into the woods, found a marsh full of burgundy blooms, and (almost) managed to beat the heat.

This was an incredibly fun session, and I think it's a great example of how much can potentially be accomplished in 1.5 hours of shooting time. It covers a wide range of portraits: a palette of couples, individuals, and the whole family.
